We, the Elves at Historical Folk Toys, pride ourselves on providing the best historical and educational products for the lowest possible price. This is not an easy feat -- even for Elves! We offer a wide selection of toys, books, crafts, games and music items that are unsurpassed in quality for the cost -- to both our customers (resellers) and theirs' (museum patrons and end users).

Nestled in the rolling hills (and nationally known artist colony) of Nashville, Indiana, we Elves endeavor to produce and offer artifacts of history that benefit everyone. As a company, our age may be rather young (2004); however, we assure you our backgrounds and expertise span decades. Julie Harris (our Head Elf) has been designing dolls, crafts and craft kits since 1976. Each and every one of our Toy Elves is an accomplished craftsperson in their own right (in at least one of the traditional folk arts). Even our Web Elf, Míc Miller, is a recognized pioneer in community Web sites (1994) and one of the most illustrious, award-winning (and award-giving) Web designers / developers in the history of the Internet!

Together, we Elves find "magic" designing and producing fun, discovery items for others to enjoy and grow with. Our motto is "Explore the past and journey into tomorrow." This is because we Elves believe everyone (especially young children) should have the opportunity to experience and learn from their ancestors' (as well as other cultures') historical arts and crafts. In doing so, they will come to appreciate what the world was once like and, more importantly, what their own capabilities can be.
