Children from all over the world have enjoyed playing with toys throughout time. Many of our classic toys and puzzles evolved from what was naturally available or from what the adults could dream up. The wooden toys in this collection are made with string, cord, rope, or ribbon. These toys are kid powered, use the imagination, and develop coordination or motor skills. Similar toys have been found in ancient Greece, Africa, Australia, England, France, and even the Arctic polar region. Native Americans, New World colonists, and children in the Victorian era have played with these types of toys for generations. Our toys and puzzles feature the history in every package. 2012 Jump Rope Set includes a 7-foot cotton rope with wooden handles and The Jump Rope book which has 18 popular children’s jump rope rhymes plus variations, information on Chinese Jump Rope and Double Dutch. Book available separately as item 92001.
2014 Finger Tops come in a set of 25 tops. Included are instructions for two top games on accompanying information cards. Tops measure 1-3/4 inches tall & 1-1/2 inches in diameter. Good for teaching finger dexterity and fine motor skills.
2015 Graces include four 16-inch wooden wands and two 7-inch diameter wooden hoops tied with colorful ribbons. Packaged with instructions and brief history. For two players outside on the lawn. Also known as French Hoops, La Grace and The Flying Circle.
2016 Thaumatropes set includes four 3-inch diameter thaumatropes and cotton strings. Two discs have historically based, original paintings of the Bird and Cage and the Bird and Dog. Two of the discs are blank for creating your own "Wonder Turners."
2019 Little Fish Toss Toy is an Inuit inspired Ring and Pin Game similar to Bilboquet and Cup & Ball. It is locally made with hardwood and cotton string and is a great skill toy encouraging patience & hand dexterity.

2021 Wooden Jointed Snake is approximately 12 inches long and is made from wiggle wood. It can be painted, decorated or left plain. Fake snakes made from jointed wood have been used in theatre productions and have a long imagery history.
